Pada tahun 2010 ini tepatnya di penghujung tahun nanti, masyarakat Karawang direncanakan akan memilih Bupati dan Wakil Bupati barunya untuk periode 2010-2015. Adapun rangkaiannya sendiri akan berlangsung dari pertengahan tahun. Pilbup kedua dengan sistem pemilihan langsung ini disebut-sebut akan menjadi pesta demokrasi daerah yang meriah di Karawang, mengingat ini merupakan kali kedua pilbup atau Pilkada Karawang secara langsung, dimana masyarakat telah belajar dari pilbup langsung sebelumnya. Dengan kata lain, jika pada pilbup langsung pertama pada tahun 2005 masyarakat masih beradaptasi maka di Pilbup Karawang 2010 ini dengan berbekal pengalaman dari pilbup sebelumnya sepertinya akan lebih meriah.

Kick of Putaran Final Piala Dunia Afrika Selatan 2010 akan dilangsungkan pada 11 Juni 2010 mendatang, tapi semarak Piala Dunia 2010 ini sudah dapat dirasakan jauh-jauh hari, tidak hanya di negeri tuan rumah tapi juga di Indonesia. Walau tidak ikut di Piala Dunia 2010 namun jangan salah, Indonesia juga tidak kalah sibuknya, PSSI sedang bertarung juga untuk terpilih menjadi Tuan Rumah Piala Dunia 2022. Hebat kan? Kalau jadi tuan rumah kan berarti gak perlu ikut kualifikasi dan dijamin lolos, nah mungkin target lainnya itu kali ya.. biar Indonesia bisa ikut di putaran final. Mmmm…
