Naturalization Sergio van Dijk, Should be done by Indonesia?
The desire to conduct naturalization PSII against Sergio van Dijk in order to strengthen Indonesia National Team squad, a hot topic in the middle off the local competition (except Indonesia Cup). Sergio van Dijk is a sticker of Dutch descent Indonesia, Ambon rather bloody. He currently plays in the Australian league club, Adelaide United.
Yes .. naturalization has become a trend in football. France and Germany are two great teams that have a lot of players blooded half French / half-blooded German and other countries, particularly countries of the former colonies first. In Asia, there are Japan who also had several players the results of naturalization.
Like I read in the second dot com, Sergio van Dijk themselves positively welcomed the invitation PSSI. He also wants to strengthen Indonesia National Team. But with a condition: if he has finished in the sense of defending national team retirement from the world of football, he wants to return to Dutch citizens.
Sergio van Dijk from the responses above, as an Indonesian I feel insulted, why? Yes, he wants to play for the red and white national team in my opinion just because he was not abandoned by the Dutch national team, he just wanted to taste the international level, there is no pride to Indonesia.
So, for me PSSI no longer need to insist to invite him to WNI (Indonesian citizens). Because obviously the FIFA rules, a player who should forever be a naturalized citizen of the country that he chosen, must be permanent.
More important than all that, for me than doing naturalization, PSSI better focus more on coaching players of Indonesia from an early age. Also, for my Indonesian players individually can actually compete with players such as from Europe and Latin America. With the requirement, they must be in a good level of competition. Therefore, PSSI in this case be continued to improve the quality of local leagues and competitions, and helping the club-club in order to have a system and a good training tool, especially in terms of physical and stamina.
